Gastric Burkitt's lymphoma as the cause of sideropenic anemia in a 14 years old boy

Burkitt lymphoma is agressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It is formed by mature B cells. It represents 30-50% of all non-Hodgkin lymphoma among pediatric population. Therapeutic outcome is great compared to adult population. Treatment constitutes of chemotherapy including also central nervous system prophylaxis together with biological treatment. In our case report we describe 14 years old boy with severe sideropenic anemia as the first symptom of gastric Burkitt´s lymphoma.
