Cysteinylové receptory, chronický kašel a léčba montelukastem u dětí

Cysteinylové leukotrieny jsou tvořeny de novo z kyseliny arachidonové, která je součástí buněčné membrány, a významně se podílejí v patofyziologii astma bronchiale. Farmakologicky byly definovány dva receptory - CysLT1 a CysLT2. U kojenců a batolat s hvízdavým dýcháním a chronickým kašlem vyvolanými virovou infekcí byly prokázány vyšší hladiny IFN-gamma a cysteinylových leukotrienů ve sputu. U 22 dětí s chronickým kašlem jsme čtyři týdny podávali Singulair tbl. (montelukast) v dávce 5 mg jednou denně. U čtrnácti dětí (68 %) chronický vyčerpávající kašel odezněl a zdá se, že krátkodobá léčba antileukotrieny by mohla být v této indikaci velkým přínosem.
