Alergická rýma je onemocnění, jehož zdravotní a sociální význam je dán vysokou prevalencí, negativním dopadem na kvalitu života pacientů a možností rozvoje závažných komplikací. Ve skupině dětí a adolescentů patří k nejčastějším onemocněním s chronickým průběhem. Alergická rýma vzniká na podkladě eozinofilního zánětu nosní sliznice. Na její diagnostice a terapii se podílí praktický lékař, alergolog a otorinolaryngolog. Léčba je komplexní a dlouhodobá. Její důležitou součástí je vedle léků i bezalergenový režim a v indikovaných případech alergenová imunoterapie.

ALLERGIC RHINITIS IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS

Allergic rhinitis is important due to its increasing prevalence, impact on quality of life of patients and serious complications. It belongs to most common chronic diseases in children and adolescents. The main ethiopathogenic mechanism of allergic rhinitis is allergic inflammation of nasal tissue. The diagnostics and therapy of allergic rhinitis is provided by GP, allergist and ENT specialist. Therapy is complex and long-lasting, consisting not only in pharmacotherapy but also in allergen eliminaton and immunotherapy.
