Parasitic diseases of skin and hair in children

The most common parasitic diseases in children are pediculosis and pulicosis; also, scabies occurs frequently. Recently, cases of cimicosis

have been reported. Trombidiasis is common in late summer. Parasitic conditions also include various insect bites and tick attachment.

Treatment needs to be aimed at not only eliminating the parasite and relieving skin manifestations, but also at preventing recurrence,
