Lifetime consequences after being burnt as punishment for disobedience

A case report is presented of a publicly known case of abuse of a young boy. In 2008, the boy was severely scalded on the lower limbs

by his mother for being disobedient. The case report illustrates how a seemingly trivial situation may result in a very serious injury

with lifetime stigmatization.
