Irreducible indirect inguinal hernia containing ovary

Indirect inguinal hernia is the most common congenital anomaly in the pediatric age group. About 15–20 % of hernias in infant girl

contain ovary, sometimes with Fallopian tube. The diagnosis of irredusible inguinal hernia in a 2-month-old girl with ovary was highly

suspected preoparatively by ultrasonography and confirmed during surgical correction.
