Spalničky jsou chorobou, se kterou se dnešní pediatři díky povinnému očkování prakticky již nesetkávají. Autoři předkládají případ spalniček u novorozence hospitalizovaného na jejich pracovišti, zdůrazňují epidemiologické aspekty nákazy a připomínají, že je stále ještě potřebné uvažovat o této chorobě v rámci diferenciální diagnostiky exantematických onemocnění.
