Celiakální krize u batolete

Celiakie (celiakální sprue, CS) je autoimunitní enteropatie vyvolaná celoživotní nesnášenlivostí lepku a dalších prolaminů (bílkovinných součástí obilovin) (3, 5). Podle epidemiologických studií je celosvětová prevalence CS v populaci 1 : 100–250 (12). Zlepšující se znalosti patogeneze, klinického obrazu a rozvoj sérologických metod diagnostiky v posledních dvou desetiletích radikálně změnily pohled na CS. Z dříve vzácného onemocnění, postihujícího primárně kojence a batolata s typickými gastrointestinálními příznaky, se CS stala běžnou nemocí, která může být diagnostikována v kterémkoliv věku a jejíž symptomy bývají často atypické či zcela chybí (11).
