EPIDURÁLNÍ ABSCES JAKO KOMPLIKACE OBOUSTRANNÉ AKUTNÍ OTITIDY A MASTOIDITIDY

Autoři popisují 3,5letého chlapce s dvoudenní anamnézou akutní otitidy, který byl přijatý do nemocnice pro podezření na neuroinfekci. Vyšetření mozku pomocí komputerové tomografie a magnetické rezonance prokázalo oboustrannou mastoiditidu a epidurální absces vlevo. V celkové narkóze byla urgentně provedena evakuace epidurálního empyému s následnou levostrannou antromastoidektomií. Mikrobiologické vyšetření nasofaryngeálního stěru, hemokultur i epidurálního abscesu jako příčinu infekce prokázalo Streptococcus pneumoniae, který byl dobře citlivý na zvolenou antibiotickou léčbu.
