Úmrtí na rotavirovou gastroenteritidu
- Krajská hygienická stanice Jihomoravského kraje se sídlem v Brně
Kazuistika popisuje případ úmrtí 2,5letého chlapce z rodiny, ve které současně probíhalo onemocnění rotavirovou gastroenteritidou
a chřipkou typu B. K úmrtí vedla extrémní dehydratace způsobená průjmy a zvracením. Jako etiologické agens byl potvrzen rotavirus.
Součástí sdělení jsou informace o epidemiologických charakteristikách rotavirových gastroenteritid a epidemiologická data.

Death from rotavirus gastroenteritis
In a case report is presented death of a two-and-half-year-old boy from a family where occured at the same time two infections – rotavirus
gastroenteritis and B influenza. The boy died of extreme dehydratation as a result of severe diarrhoea and vomiting. Rotavirus was
comfirmed as the causative agent. Epidemiological informations and data of rotavirus gastroenteritis are included.
