Torsion of the testis the most common urological emergency and should be included in the differential diagnosis of scrotal trauma. Clinical
suspicion of testicular torsion is a serious indication for prompt surgical exploration of post-traumatic acute scrotum. Ultrasound is the
imaging modality of choice for the pediatric scrotum and provides excellent anatomical details and assessement of testicular perfusion
by color Doppler without ionizing radiation. A case of unilateral post-traumatic testicular torsion, which resulted in operative detorsion
and bilateral orchidopexy of viable testis, is presented.
