The COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic has brought many health problems that need to be solved, especially in acute stage of the disease. However, diagnoses belonging to the group of post-covid conditions are becoming more and more important. Cases of alopecia after overcoming COVID-19 disease such as telogen effluvium and alopecia areata have been described in the literature so far. In a short case report we demonstrate the development of a rare form of scarring alopecia in a 4-year-old patient after overcoming COVID-19 with mild course. We emphasize early diagnosis. Due to clinical similarity to other, nonscarring forms of alopecia, we point out the possibility of non-invasive trichoscopic diagnostics, which is currently gaining more and more importance in the pediatric population.

Keywords: alopecia, COVID-19, lichen planopilaris, trichoscopy, dermoscopy.
